A Little About Me
I began reviewing theatre in 2008, writing for both BroadwayWorld and Fig Magazine. Eventually, I created a space to share my passion online through my own website and began covering productions throughout Lancaster, Hershey, Philadelphia, and New York. I loved traveling to different cities, discovering new theatres, and experiencing the many different ways stories could be brought to life onstage.
But over time, I realized something: my heart belongs to the theatre scene in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
There is something special about being able to experience such high-quality productions right here in my own community. Lancaster's theatres give audiences the opportunity to see shows we already love while also introducing us to productions that put a fresh spin on familiar stories—or introduce us to stories we might never have discovered otherwise.
Through my articles and reviews, I hope to share that sense of discovery with you. More than anything, I hope to encourage you to go out and see a show. Try something familiar. Take a chance on something new. Visit a theatre you have never been to before. Talk about the performance afterward. Let yourself be surprised.
Because there is nothing quite like sitting in a theatre, surrounded by strangers, and suddenly realizing that for a few hours, you are all experiencing the same story together.
That is the magic of live theatre. And that is why I love Lancaster theatre.
