Early this morning the nominations for the 72nd Tony Awards were announced by Leslie Odom Jr., and Katherine McPhee. Mean Girls and SpongeBob SqaurePants: The Musical lead the list of the 72nd Tony Award Nominations with twelve nominations each.

Leslie Odom Jr. and Katharine McPhee were originally seen together in the 2012 NBC show Smash. Odom Jr.is best known for playing Aaron Burr in Hamilton, which earned him a Tony Award in 2016. McPhee recently made her Broadway debut in Waitress.

The Tony ceremony will take place on June 10, 2018 at 8pm. The ceremony will be held at Radio City Music Hall and will also be televised on CBS. The hosts for the evening will be Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban.
